Summary: There's a cat on board. This is no ordinary cat, however, and things are about to get worse, because the TARDIS is feeling neglected..
Reason to read:
It's a Schrodinger's cat and even better at messing with reality and physics than your average cat. This is hilariously funny.I was snickering over "Cat and anti-cat" and "Velocorapter" for the rest of the day after reading this. As long as you have at least a general idea of who The Doctor is you should be able to follow this.
Every Present is a Past
Summary: This is all that's left of Traken.
Reason to read:
It's a beautiful story about loss and going on with shivery foreshadowing for The Doctor's own future. You absolutely have to be familiar with Nyssa and, even though it features the 5th Doctor you need to know what happened to Galafrey before the beginning of the new series with the 10th.
The Blue Rose
Summary: After risking everything to find Rose, the Doctor must face the terrifying possibility that everything he believes is an illusion.
Reason to read
It's a gripping story that keeps you guessing what is real and what isn't. Really great characterization and good use of canon trivia to build a story that feels like it could happen in canon. Not for those unfamiliar with the series in general and the new run in particular.
Goodbye 10, Hello 11
Author: The Tin Dogs Bollocks
Summary: It's the little things that make a regeneration
Reason to Read:
It's quirky fun - just like the Doctor! A speculation on the regeneration from 10 to 11 done with humor but with just a touch of seriousness. Need to know the new series.
