Grrrr
1. Why is my beefcake icon replaced by some weird chubby guy? Why has no one commented on this? Am I the only one seeing him?

2. I've been happily watching Hikaru no Go via the library but it turned out they only had up to 11.

No problem, I have Netflix.

Problem: Netflix only has up to 11.

Turns out that Viz abandoned the US release with #11 despite having solicited 12 as coming out early last year and despite the fact that it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Fortunately I've read the manga so I know what happens but that is soooo frustrating. I'd be looking for fansubs to download right now but technical problems with my computer keep me from doing torrents right now. It overheats and crashes if I leave it running overnight and with dial up I pretty much can download a torrent OR do anything else on line beyond checking email.

3. Keanu Reeves is set to play Spike in the live action Cowboy BeBop. There goes any hope of a really kick ass adaptation.

1. Now you have a 'Bite Me' icon; there's been some random glitch that substitutes weird icons going around LJ.

2. Have you seen quaedam's Hikaru No Go fanart?

3. *facepalm*

The bite me icon is deliberate. The mix up is with yesterday's post. There should be the "Give me Beefcake now" icon but I see something else.

I haven't seen that artist but it says some art not worksafe so I'll have to wait until I get home to browse. Thanks for the link!

*chortle*

Most of quaedam's art is totally not worksafe; it's surprising that your screen doesn't burst into flames upon clicking the links... but the artwork is incredibly brilliant and completely worth the risk to your hardware! Drenched with colour, strong lines, inspired composition... s/he's amazing.

The Hikaru no Go panels are PG, as opposed to the usual R or X, but you definitely don't want to risk it at work!
