This time the stories all are things I wish were cannon, but aren't. Pure "scenes we'd like to see" wish fulfillment. None of these are really for non-fans of the series they are based on although there is a lot of universal human drama in them.
Series: Doctor Who
Title: Does Your Mother Know
Rated: M / R
Summary: Before the credits roll at the end of JE, the Doctor is in for a huge surprise... 10/Rose; 10.5/? That's the surprise!
Reason to Read: Well written and inventive with a hot lemon at the end. This does contain spoilers for Journey's End so if you don't know what 10.5 could refer to, and you'd rather find out by watching season four, then bookmark this and come back to it later.
Title: Wait For You Beyond the Light
Rated: A / G
Summary: \Naruto, stay with me!\ Tsunade cried, the tears in her eyes almost audible. But he was so tired and the darkness was sweeping in... \You must go back,\ he whispered, his face haloed in light. \There's still so much for you to do there.\ YON-DADDY fic!
Reason to read: Naruto meets his father. Plus, I'm a sucker for well written hurt/comfort and it's touching to see how the other members of his team take it when Naruto is seriously injured. It really highlights how despite the odds against it Naruto has created his own family of people he loves.
Title: Through the Eyes of Love
Rated: T / PG
Summary: Matt: "If there's something...if I did something to upset you or hurt you, please tell me. We can make it right.” Kitty: "Nothing can make it right, Matt. Not this time."
Reason to Read : Realistic and in character portrayal of mature love. Even though the radio show made it clear that Matt and Kitty were together the TV show kept things pretty tame for the most part and the producers famously fired Amanda Blake before Matt and Kitty could have a happily ever after. Seeing the two of them work through the sort of issues real couples have to face and acknowledging their feelings and commitment to one another would have been wonderful. If they had been allowed to have their happy ending Gunsmoke would probably be in the top five of my favorite shows of all time instead of something that I occasionally enjoy when I happen to come across it.
