Having Asthma In Florida Sucks Right Now
The sky has a weird yellow glow in the afternoons similar to what you get when a hurricane is lurking nearby. The recommendation today is to wear a mask if you're spending any real time outside.

Utterly disgusting, isn't it? It's freakin' snowing ash! Thankfully, I don't have asthma, but I've got allergies. My head hasn't stopped aching in days. What's pathetic is that the other evening, on the way to my dance studio, I went past Kanapah Middle School, and there was actually a soccer practice going on. What sort of parents or coaches would allow kids to be playing outside in this?!

Just heard on the radio that the winds have shifted and the one on the Bradford/Alachua line's picked up again. *coughs*

Whoa! You're in Gainesville? Cool, I work in G-ville and live in Lake City.

A friend who lives in G-ville just called and said he was going jogging but didn't get far from his front door before he decided it would be a bad idea. I hear from multiple sources that my commute home tonight is going to be interesting. "Black as night" is the common refrain from Columbia County way.

I live in Williston, and work and play in G'ville.

Williston's looking like a giant ash tray at the moment too. And yeah, "interesting" is apt. Especially if you're going home around dusk (natural dusk that is, not the type that we've been having lately that begins around 2pm).

A friend of mine lives in Fort White, and she said that it's bad enough that when you open the front door, smoke just billows in, so I'd imagine Lake City must be about the same.

I don't get off until 7 tonight so I'll get the full effect.

Andrea needs to get up off its lazy butt and give us some rain.

I heard an interview with...someone...the Bradford county Fire Marshal maybe, yesterday that said depending on how Andrea turns out, it may do more harm than good. Too much wind, not enough rain, that sort of thing. Oh, and based on that map, and the report my mom just gave on the way home, it looks like there's another one that's even closer to Williston than that one. Fun. >.< *grumbles*
